After earning his AA degree in electronics, Ken started with Havens Hearing Aids in Paradise, California in 1984. In addition to the retail business, the Havens owned a wholesale repair lab. Before long Ken was doing in-office repairs for hearing aid offices across the U.S. Even though the repair work was challenging, the most rewarding aspect of the job was working with people and fitting hearing aids. As a hearing aid user since 8 years of age, Ken understands the unique problems associated with hearing loss and the use of hearing aids.

Stacy Garcia
Stacy began working with us in January 2007 as our lab manager and has been a great addition to the office. Her tasks as a lab manager require her to be the office's hub where all transactions and tasks are gone through. Only after a few months she saw how much fun Ken and Kenneth were having as Dispensers and wanted to try her hand at it as well. She began her training as a dispenser and has received her temporary license in February of 08' and will be getting her permanent license within the year. She has a been a great asset to the company and we have quickly realized that there is no one else like her in the whole world!

Charlotte Wood
Last but certainly not least is Charlotte. She started working in the hearing aid business when Ken first worked at Havens Hearing Aids in Paradise. Ken recalls Charlotte bringing their oldest daughter, who is now twenty-two years old, into the office when she was still in a bassinet. Over the years Charlotte has shared the responsibilities required in maintaining Up-State Hearing Instruments. Since February of 2005, she has a more evident job at the front desk. Charlotte's gentle spirit and compassion make her the perfect person you'd want to interact with when walking in our door.
